The first news of a baby means a lot to the family members and more importantly to the parents. The baby born receives nurturing, love, care, affections and a barrel full of pet names. The child is growing fast and it is time for her Rice ceremony. According to the Hindu Sastra, this is a pious occasion when the child, at the age of six or seven months, consumes rice for the first time giving us the perfect exposure to click that oh-so-adorable picture of the kid.
